Gertrud Caspari (Ma in Chemnitz - June 7, in Klotzsche, Dresden) was one of the most important German children's book illustrators in the first half of the 20th century, and is recognised as the creator of a "modern toddler" or "Caspari" : Ma , Chemnitz, Saxony.   This elegant German porcelain dancer is seated on a graceful bench adjusting her slipper. Her dress is layers of exuberant ruffles. She is wearing gold slippers and her arm is adorned with gold bangles. Her face is serene and lovely. The base of this figurine is marked SchauBach Kunst, Germany. She is dated around.

From the three-hundred-year tradition of Saxony and Thuringia, the birthplaces of European porcelain.
